m’a dit au mois de juillet à Karlsbad:

„le seul homme en Russie qui puisse

vous aider, c’est le Grandduc Wladimir!“

De quoi il s’agit?

De la solution d’une question (xx) ancienne

déjà comme le christianisme, d’une cause

grande et belle et faite pour plaire

aux coeurs les plus nobles. C’est le

retour des Juifs en Paléstine!

(xx) J’ai développé le plan dans une

brochure (xx) qui a été traduite en dix

langues. (xx) J’ai l’honneur de remettre

à Votre Altesse Impériale l’édition russe.

Depuis cette publication j’ai Vote … terrais

fait (xx) quelques démarches à Constantinople,

où j’ai vu le grand- vizir, et ailleurs.

Letter to Grande Duke Vladimir who is staying in Berlin at present:

Your Imperial Highness:

His Royal Highness Prince Ferdinand of Bulgaria told me in July at Carlsbad: ‘‘The only man in Russia who could help you is Grand Duke Vladimir!”

What is it all about?

It is about the solution of a question as old as Christianity, a great and beautiful cause, designed to delight the noblest hearts. It is the return of the Jews to Palestine!

I have developed the plan in a pamphlet which has been translated into ten languages. I have the honor of presenting to Your Imperial Highness a copy of the Russian edition. Since this publication I have taken some steps at Constantinople, where I have seen the Grand Vizier, and elsewhere.

His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Baden has done me the honor of receiving me at Karlsruhe and has been kind enough to take an interest in the cause.

הוד מלכותו הנסיך פֶרדיננד מבולגריה אמר לי בחודש יולי בקארסלבּאד: "היחיד ברוסיה שיוכל לעזור לך הוא הנסיך הגדול ולאדימיר!"

במה מדובר?

בפתרונה של שאלה עתיקה שימיה כימי הנצרות, בעניין גדול ויפה העשוי לנגוע ללבבות הנאצלים ביותר. זו שיבתם של היהודים לארץ־ישראל!

פיתחתי את התוכנית בחוברת שתורגמה לעשר לשונות. אני מתכבד לשלוח לך, הוד מעלתך הקיסרית, את ההוצאה הרוסית. מאז הפרסום הזה עשיתי אי־אלה צעדים בקושטא וראיתי שם את הוואזיר הגדול, וגם במקומות אחרים.

הוד מלכותו הגרוֹסהֶרצוֹג מבּאדֶן העניק לי את הכבוד וקיבל אותי בקארלסרוּהֶה והואיל בטובו להתעניין בנושא.
